Two sizes, fast setup, and more usable pedalboard space.

Developed from the most requested RockBoard product idea to date.

RockBoard is pleased to introduce our new Second Tiers, a pedalboard expansion created in direct response to years of requests from players. Customers had been asking for a tiered RockBoard solution in comments, posts, and emails, and some even built their own versions from existing RockBoard components, sending us pictures of what they had made.

It became the most requested piece of gear RockBoard has ever had.

Though extra tiers have been popular for a long time, the increase in interest reflects the way modern pedalboards are changing. More players are now building rigs around pedal-format amps, modelers, NAM profile players, IR pedals, loop switchers, and MIDI controllers. Those pedals we don’t need to interact with often can stay under the Second Tiers, and controllers/switcher users can still access those pedals remotely.

The Second Tiers feature fully opening tops, which hold in place at your chosen angle, allowing easy access to the pedals underneath. They mount directly through the existing RockBoard hole structure, are secured with grub screws, and use RockBoard-logo screws to connect the top to the sides. Setup takes only seconds, even for some existing setups, while the familiar hole pattern keeps cable-routing options available.

The concept had been spoken about for some time at Warwick HQ, yet our team was inspired by the homemade solutions already being created by RockBoard users and was spurred on to create an official version that worked as part of our modular RockBoard Ecosystem.

The first concepts were deliberately simple, and the early prototypes were already close to the final product. From the first drawing to release took approximately nine months, with much of the development focused on clearance, access, stability, and compatibility with existing RockBoard products such as our popular QuickMount system, PSUs, MOD Patchbays, and LED Strips/Lamps.

The Second Tiers are available in two sizes: 320 mm for the S version and 475 mm for the L version, with both measuring 150 mm front to back. The sizes were chosen around the RockBoard range, allowing a tier to leave room beside it for an expression pedal on some boards, span the available width on others, and even be used in pairs on larger compatible RockBoards. Compatibility starts with the TRES series and continues upward through the RockBoard range.

Made from powder-coated aluminium, the Second Tiers are designed to match existing RockBoards visually and structurally. The result is a natural add-on that looks like it was always a part of the board.

The Second Tiers are the latest part of our globally available, modular pedalboard system, meaning second tier boards are no longer dominated by the custom pedalboard market.
