Bensalem, PA – New for 2024, Ibanez is releasing three new BTB models featuring light multi-scale construction. The main difference between these and the original BTB multi-scale basses is a less dramatic difference between the scale of the lowest and highest string. The five string models are 34” scale on the G and 35” scale on the B. These specifications were selected in order to make these instruments more appealing to bassists who are used to playing traditional, single scale basses. They also deliver ideal tension on all strings, solving one of the main problems that players need to consider when choosing between 34” and 35” scale instruments. There are three different models available. The BTB705LM features a Flamed maple top with an Ash/Okoume body and a Rosewood fretboard. The BTB605MLM features an Okoume body, Flamed Maple fretboard and a Pearl white Matte Finish. Finally, the BTB7MS is the first ever 7-string multi-scale BTB. All three models feature proprietary Ibanez T1 pickups.
