After a hiatus punctuated by a pandemic, Andy Fuchs has finally returned to his design bench with a vengeance: Fuchs has rolled-out the all-new Clean Machine-II by popular demand, and a series of four long-teased bass amps are finally coming out in 2023 !

Andy has years of experience as a working musician, as well as servicing and tweaking guitar and bass amps for many famous clients as diverse as Carlos Santana through jammers like Jimmy Herring, including jazz legends like Dave Stryker for over 40 years. Fuchs Audio has been in business since 1999, and their list of endorsers and glowing reviews is truly impressive.

The Clean Machine-II is an evolution of the revered original Clean Machine platform, which found favor amongst jam band artists like Jimmy Herring and others. The new Clean Machine has already been embraced by Suke Cerulo (of Moe, The Suke Cerulo Band, and Schleigho). The goal of the CM-II is to be the perfect pedal platform and the ultimate high-resolution clean amp for those seeking “Mayer-style” clean tones.

The Clean Machine-II is built on Fuchs’ standard ODS chassis platform, and features custom wound transformers, a silent DC fan, in an aircraft grade aluminum chassis. These amps features a robust cathode-follower driven power amp circuit of its predecessor.

While the effects loop functions like the standard Fuchs loop (series and parallel, pedal or line level) it has a newly designed reverb mix circuit that sounds simply amazing. The already awesome Spin-Semiconductor 16-bit digital reverb (found in all Fuchs models) is now further enhanced with low and high frequency EQ controls in addition to level and dwell controls. It’s mixed through a newly designed all tube mixer circuit, which gives a remarkably deep, lush musical tone with a stunning level of tonal flexibility that just wraps around notes which seem to float in space.

The input preamp features a 3-position bright switch, a deep switch, a mid boost with a mid frequency selector, and a mid/low control turnover switch, plus a three position EQ switch for the fullest of tone shaping.

The amps are available in 25/50-W, 50-W, and 50/100-W models in heads or combos. Amps are available in all global power configurations and are CE and RoHs compliant.
