Austrian custom bass builder BITE Guitars introduces the Dragon Bass, a monster bass featuring three pickups in a JPJ configuration, a pickup selector and a parallel/series switch. All this results in seven selectable pickup configurations, the most popular one being the series setting which adds up the power of two of BITE’s proprietary high-output pickups, each of them alone producing a record 1000 millivolt output.
BITE builds each Dragon Bass individually upon order, so individually varying customer specifications can be incorporated. For example, the customer can choose between five different necks with hard maple or black locust fretboards.
The Dragon Bass was first devised and built for the Italian rock bassist and composer Alberto Rigoni. Its artwork was designed by the hard rock design team of all4band.com and it spans all top surface areas including body, pickup and pickguard.
The Dragon Bass is the first in BITE’s premium edition, a product line featuring unique sound options and artwork.
